Policy

All programs involving minors are required to adhere to the SEC-2008 Youth Protection Policy. 

This policy was created to provide for the safety and protection of minors who participate in University hosted or operated programs. The policy establishes minimum requirements for any entity providing programming to minors, as well as for the adults working with youth as part of these programs.

All members of the University of Richmond community should be familiar with and comply with the provisions of this policy, any related policies, and applicable procedures.

All requirements must be met prior to the start of the program and can be subject to compliance review from the Office of Risk Management. The program is responsible for ensuring that all requirements are met prior to the start of the program and for the maintenance of all records related to their compliance.
